Have Others Critique Your Plan
Although this step is parked at the tail end of the RoadMap™, critiquing can begin much earlier in the process. You can do some of your own critiquing, but it is important to have others read and provide feedback.
Action
- Develop your business plan to draft stage and have at least one person proofread it and make corrections.
- Select three to five people willing to participate in critiquing your business plan.
- Make copies of your business plan and distribute them to each person. Ask them to read, make notes, and provide feedback.
- After an appropriate amount of time, meet with each person or the group to debrief.
- Incorporate all valuable or useful feedback into your business plan.
