Each business has its jargon. Jargon is typically a language that is used within an Industry or business type. One characteristic of jargon is that it may be misunderstood or not understood by those outside the Industry or business, thereby requiring clarification. Use this Element only if absolutely necessary.

Create a Glossary of Terms for your reader.
- Reread your business plan.
- Identify any words that may be confusing to your reader.
- Make a list of the terms along with explanations or definitions.
- Either provide the explanations where the terms appear in the body of your business plan or place your Glossary of Terms as the last Appendix in your business plan.
