Develop a Marketing Action Plan
Plan a strategy for marketing your products and services.

If you have set up a working copy of your business plan using the Shell™, this information will be entered under section 3 “Marketing” under the heading 3.10 “Marketing Action Plan.”
- Review market research that you consider to be helpful in creating your Marketing Action Plan.
- Copy the Advertising and Promotion Element into a separate file and use it as a benchmark from which to build your Marketing Action Plan.
- Build your list of Marketing Objectives and arrange them chronologically, in the order they will happen.
- Develop a brief list of action goals for each objective.
- Estimate a budget for each of the components of your Marketing Action Plan. This can be done in a spreadsheet either in the cash flow projection or separately; ultimately these costs must be put into your cash flow projection.
- Option: Go back and reorganize your Advertising and Promotion Element from Step 43 to be more consistent with your Marketing Action Plan.
