Clarify Primary Research Questions
Now that you have a clearer idea of who you’re targeting, it’s time to clarify what you want to learn about your customers. What would you like to ask or confirm when speaking directly to potential customers? The following list of questions should get you started. Feel free to delete any that don’t apply to your business or to add a few of your own.
Suggested Questions for Your Market Survey
- Who are your customers? Approximately what age?
- Are they male or female? What education?
- Where do they live? Where do they work?
- Do they purchase the goods you will provide?
- How much money do they or would they spend on the products or services?
- Where do they currently buy the products or services?
- What do they like or dislike about the products or services they currently purchase?
- Do they think their need for these products and services will be increasing or decreasing in the future?
- Will they buy these goods in the next year? How often?
- Will they buy this product or service from you? When?
